PALETTES/ PALATES IN THE PADDOCK
Saturday 28th March 2026
Buses depart: 4:30pm - Finish: 10pm
Three years. One paddock. Our hometown.
Palettes/Palates in the Paddock is back in Cobar for its third year running, and if you’ve been before, you already know this isn’t just an event… it’s a full-blown country experience.
What started in 2024 as a wild idea to bring creativity, connection and incredible food together under the outback sky has now become one of Cobar’s most loved annual nights out and 2026 is shaping up to be our best one yet.
What to Expect:
•Painting with a Paddock Twist: Paint with a Paddock Twist. This year you’ll be creating one of Sig’s signature Aussie Yabby’s - a bold, fun artwork for your very own collection. Guided by artist Sig Peters from The Pink Galah, this relaxed painting session is perfect for all levels, whether you paint every week or haven’t picked up a brush since school. No pressure. Just fun, colour and creativity.
•A Banquet Beneath the Stars: Haylee from Classique Catering is bringing her signature style and seasonal flavours with an elevated paddock-to-plate dining experience.
Think:
- Grazing boards to get you nibbling as you paint!
- Delicious, hearty mains to warm the belly and reflect seasonal flavours!
- A sweet finale to finish the evening on a high note!
- Every dish celebrates rural produce and thoughtful country hospitality.
An Evening of Country Connection This isn’t just an art workshop or dinner – it’s a heartfelt gathering that shines a light on the magic of our rural communities. Expect laughter, music, and meaningful moments with like-minded souls under a starry sky.

BEST night with beautiful company! It was so much fun and what a great idea - something so different, that is rarely available out this way. THANK YOU Sig. You did an amazing job at guiding us all in creating our artworks, whilst ensuring we are all so well looked after. Awesome tunes and having lots of laughs while we painted. When can we do it again?!
